My name is Eve and I am currently a student at Sheffield Hallam university studying English Language, Literature, and Creative Writing.

In October 2014 I established an Instagram page called @cyprusdogs in order to raise awareness of the stray dog problem in Cyprus, but it gained more attention than I could have ever expected and I was soon rehoming dogs across Europe. As I gained more followers, small rescue organisations and independent rescuers began to notice me, and a few months later I was contacted by Wild at Heart Foundation and asked if I would like to be part of their team (which then consisted of just two people!). And so it began!

I have worked for Wild at Heart Foundation since its inception in early 2015 and I manage the rehoming of rescue dogs from Cyprus, Bosnia, Greece and Romania. Our aim is to compassionately reduce the world’s 600 million stray dog population through rehoming, neutering and education programmes. I also write for the Dog World newspaper and online publication and have recently launched the Shelter Dog Project which works to raise awareness of UK shelters and the dogs needing homes within them.
